Massimiliano Vizzini is a composer and versatile artist from Italy currently part of the music scene of The Netherlands.
Artisan of sound and surprises, Massimiliano's working process is marked by precision and efficiency.

"I consider myself, other than a composer a creative mind who likes to oversee all aspects of creating a project. I’m mostly interested in interdisciplinarity works, connecting visual arts, cinema, dance and digital realities with sound and music."
Established as a contemporary composer, he is also an active digital visual designer, videomaker, and recording audio engineer. Composing classical contemporary pieces and music for film and video games, he deploys his multifaced skills to create his own fantasies, in which he combines all his wits into ambitious and disruptive works.

In 2024 Massimiliano was commissioned by the Dutch National Opera & Ballet to compose a new Opera production, "Goldilocks in Amsterdam" which debuted at the Opera Forward Festival. The previous year, he debuted in the Netherlands with his multimedia chamber opera, "This is Not My U******E." He also got commissioned the music for the circus show "Life²", directed by the American-Canadian director Daniel Gulko, and later performed in Maaspodium (Rotterdam), marking his second circus collaboration this year after the project "Untitled Portrait".In January 2023, he premiered the composition "SO Rude, SO Fragile", a self-produced audio film performance for balloons and clarinet. Throughout his career, Massimiliano composed several electronic works applied to interactive media, such as "Comp(up-down)uting", "SOME.UNIVERSE.SONG" and "Weird Fishes".

Massimiliano now resides in Rotterdam where he attended one year of film music under the guidance of Paul M. van Brugge and he is currently finishing his second-year master’s degree in classical composition with Robin de Raaff and Peter-Jan Wagemans. He previously studied in Palermo, where he obtained a classical composition and counterpoint diploma under the guidance of Marco Betta, and in Rome where he obtained a one-year master's degree in film and video game music.
