Brif, bruf, braf (2025)
instrumentation: SSSAA vocal ensemble, paetzold bass recorder and harp
duration: 7’
what: A fable for choir ensemble
date of composition: April 2025
written for: Papagena Ensemble

program note: Taking its title from Gianni Rodari's invented language, the work plays with nonsense syllables as pure phonetic material. Five female voices, Paetzold bass recorder and harp build a luminous, slightly absurd sound-world in which meaning dissolves into the sheer play of sound.
