​program note: A suite of short, festive miniatures for Pierrot ensemble enriched with toy instruments. Each miniature is a small celebration, bright, brief, slightly absurd, the toys injecting a deliberate naïveté and noise into the ensemble fabric, in keeping with a practice that takes play and the overlooked everyday object as serious compositional material.
